Extract from the August 5, 1920 edition of the British magazine The New Age:
"in effect, it is “as if” the same hand that controls Lenin were in control of the financial policy of this country (Britain). As our readers know, we do not accuse the Jews as a race of intending the break-up of civilisation; but the financial power, so often associated with Jews, operates so infallibly to this end that their intentions are really not in need of discussion. ’The plain fact is that, whatever the declared intentions of the financial control may be, the effect of its dictatorship is to create “despair in the middle classes” in this country exactly as a similar despair has been produced in Russia. In short, as we see it, the banks, whether knowingly or not, are allies of Bolshevism."
