Ilsa Koch's chandelier made from deer antlers 


On the link below are photographs of Ilsa Koch's photo album.

In 1982, this photograph album was tested to see whether it was bound in human-skin, as had been claimed at the post-war Dachau trial. Following tests at the Department of Basic Science in Tanning Research of the University of Cincinnati, they deemed that it was covered in suede from a large animal, but due to the fact it was suede, they were unable to determine what type of animal.

  1. The photo album is rather sweet and just shows a young boy's infancy. No lampshade for the candelabra's bulbs I see; maybe the human skin lampshades weren't ready yet.
