1943: Nazis hold "witchcraft trial" for Jews

"the Nazi forces of occupation in Lithuania recently staged a witchcraft trial of Jewish religious students and sentenced them to burn at the stake in the public square of Havaredok.
Polish Catholic Archbishop Jalbrzykowski, prelate of the Vilno district, who attempted to intervene and issued a pastoral letter ridiculing the charges of sorcery, is now being held in a concentration camp near Vilno."
